Tyco operates in four business units: Fire and Security-- which designs, manufactures, installs, monitors and services electronic security and fire protection systems; Electronics, which designs, manufactures and distributes electrical and electronic components; Healthcare, which designs, manufactures and distributes medical devices and supplies, imaging agents, pharmaceuticals, and adult incontinence and infant care products, and Engineered Products and Services, which designs, manufactures, distributes and services engineered products, and provides environmental and other industrial consulting services. During fiscal 2005, the Company divested 18 businesses, including the sale of the Tyco Global Network.
