Temple-Inland Inc. is a holding company that, through its subsidiaries, operates three business divisions: corrugated packaging, forest products and financial services. The corrugated packaging unit is a vertically integrated corrugated packaging operation that consists of five linerboard mills, one corrugating medium mill and 72 converting and other facilities. The forest products unit manages Temple-Inland's forest resources of approximately two million acres of timberland in Louisiana, Texas, Georgia and Alabama, and manufactures a variety of building products, including lumber, medium-density fiberboard, particleboard, gypsum wallboard and fiberboard. The financial services unit provides financial services in the areas of consumer and commercial banking, real estate development and insurance. Temple-Inland's main subsidiaries are TIN Inc., Temple-Inland Financial Services Inc., Guaranty Holdings Inc. I and Guaranty Bank.
