St. Jude Medical, Inc., together with its subsidiaries,
develops, manufactures and distributes cardiovascular medical devices for the
worldwide cardiac rhythm management, cardiac surgery, and cardiology and
vascular access therapy arena. St. Jude's main CRM products are bradycardia
pacemaker systems, tachycardia implantable cardioverter defibrillator systems
and electrophysiology catheters. Its primary CS products are mechanical and
tissue heart valves, epicardial ablation systems and valve-repair products.
C/VA products include vascular closure devices, angiography catheters,
guidewires and hemostasis introducers. St. Jude sells its products in the United States, Europe, Canada, Japan,
Latin America, New Zealand,
Australia
and the Asia-Pacific region. During the year ended 2004, St. Jude received
Food and Drug Administration approval for its line of products intended to
treat heart failure.
