Republic Services RSG Republic Services, Inc. is a provider of services in the
domestic non-hazardous solid waste industry. Republic Services provides
non-hazardous solid waste removal services for commercial, industrial,
municipal and residential customers through 135 collection companies in 21
states. It also owns or operates 93 transfer stations, 59 solid waste
landfills and 33 recycling facilities. In December 2006, the company’s
operations were organized into five regions, whose boundaries may change from
time to time: Eastern, Central, Southern, Southwestern and Western. Each
region is organized into several operating areas and each area contains
multiple operating locations. Each of its regions and substantially all its
areas provide collection, transfer, recycling and disposal services. Republic
Services operations mainly consist of the collection, transfer and disposal
