Emirates. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory
manufactures a line of chocolate candies and other confectionery products. As
of the end of March 2006, there were nine Company-owned and 301 franchised
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory stores operating in 40 states, Canada, Guam and the United Arab Emirates.
The company derives its income from three main sources, which are from sales
to franchisees and others of chocolates and other confectionery products
manufactured by the Company; sales at Company-owned stores of chocolates and
other confectionery products (including product manufactured by the Company),
and the collection of initial franchise fees and royalties from franchisees.
It sells its products in a select number of distribution channels, including
wholesaling, corporate sales, mail order and Internet sales.
