Development, Inc. PPDI Pharmaceutical Product Development is a worldwide contract
research firm engaged in providing drug discovery and development services,
post-approval expertise and compound partnering programs. PPD operates in two
units: Discovery Sciences and Development. The Discovery Sciences Group
focuses on the discovery research segment of the biopharmaceutical research
and development outsourcing market. The Development Group has designed its
various global services to be flexible and integrated in order to assist its
clients in optimizing their research and development spending through the
clinical stages of the development process. Additionally, for marketed drugs,
biologics and devices, PPD offers support services, such as product launch
services, medical information, patient compliance programs, patient and
disease registry programs, product safety and pharmacovigilance, Phase IV
