PLD ProLogis is a real estate
investment trust (REIT) that operates a global network of industrial
distribution properties. ProLogis' business is organized into two operating
units; property operations and the corporate distribution facilities services
business. The property operations unit represents the long-term ownership,
management and leasing of industrial distribution properties. The company
develops distribution properties in its other operating unit, the CDFS
business unit, with the intention to contribute the properties to property
funds or to sell the properties to third parties. ProLogis manages its
business by utilizing the ProLogis Operating System, an organizational
structure and service delivery system that ProLogis constructed around its
