NStar NST NSTAR is a holding company involved in the
energy delivery business. NSTAR derives its
revenues mainly from the sale of energy, distribution and transmission
services to customers and from its unregulated businesses. The company’s chief
operating divisions are the electric and natural gas utility operations and
unregulated operations. NSTAR’s retail gas
distribution utility subsidiary is NSTAR Gas
Company. NSTAR’s unregulated operations division engages
in businesses that include district energy operations, telecommunications and
liquefied natural gas service. In January 2007, NSTAR’s
retail electric utility subsidiaries, Commonwealth Electric Company and Cambridge
Electric Light Company, and its wholesale electric subsidiary, Canal Electric
Company, merged into Boston Edison Company. Pursuant to the merger, Boston
