Macrovision
Corporation MVSN Macrovision Corporation enables businesses reliant on the
deployment of software or content to protect, enhance or distribute their
offering among digital distribution channels and destination devices.
Macrovision has two units: Entertainment Technologies, which licenses digital
content value management technology to video, music and PC games content
owners and Software Technologies, which licenses various software products
and provides services to independent software vendors and enterprise
information technology departments. In February 2006, Macrovision acquired
eMeta Corporation, a provider of software solutions that enable companies to
control and sell digital goods and services online. In January 2007, it
acquired Mediabolic, Inc., a provider of software solutions for connected
consumer electronics devices, such as televisions, set-top boxes and digital
