MTB M&T Bank Corporation is a bank holding company. At the end of 2004, M&T had two wholly owned bank subsidiaries: M&T Bank and M&T Bank, National Association. The banks collectively offer a broad variety of commercial banking, trust and investment services to their customers. At year-end 2004, M&T Bank represented 99% of consolidated assets of the Company. The Company occasionally considers acquiring banks, thrift institutions, branch offices of banks or thrift institutions, or other businesses within markets served by the Company or in other locations that would complement M&T Bank Corporation's business.
