International, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides broadband
distribution services and video programming services to subscribers in Japan, Europe, Australia
and Latin America. Liberty Global's prime
assets are UnitedGlobalCom, Inc., LMI/ Sumisho Super Media, LLC, Liberty
Cablevision of Puerto Rico Ltd. and Pramer S.C.A., and an affiliate Jupiter
Programming Co., Ltd. In January 2005, the Company entered into an agreement
and plan of merger with UnitedGlobalCom, Inc. pursuant to which it would
merge with a separate wholly owned subsidiary of a new parent company named
Liberty Global, Inc., which the Company has formed because of the mergers.
