Uniphase Corporation
JDSU JDS Uniphase Corporation is a worldwide producer of
optical technologies. The company is engaged in designing and manufacturing
products for fiber optic communications. JDS Uniphase has two business units:
the Communications Products Group and the Commercial and Consumer Products
Group. The Communications Products Group unit provides components, modules
and subsystems used by communications equipment providers for
telecommunications, and data communications. The Commercial and Consumer
Products Group offers lasers, coated optics and assemblies for defense,
instrumentation, aerospace, biomedical and other applications. Products for
display, semiconductor processing, security, decorative,
medical/environmental instrumentation, and aerospace and defense applications
are also offered through this unit. In June 2005, JDSU had operations in 12
