Hospitality Properties
Trust HPT Hospitality Properties Trust is a real estate investment trust
that invests in hotels. The properties are operated by companies unaffiliated
with HPT: Host Marriott Corporation; Marriott International, Inc.;
InterContinental Hotels Group, plc; Barcelo Crestline Corporation; Global
Hyatt Corporation; Carlson Hotels Worldwide, and BRE/Homestead Village LLC .
As of December 2006, the hotels are operated as Courtyard by Marriott,
Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, Residence Inn by Marriott, Homestead
Studio Suites, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Radisson Hotels & Resorts,
Country Inns & Suites by Carlson, Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts, or
SpringHill Suites by Marriott. In January 2007, HPT completed the acquisition
of TravelCenters of America, Inc., and spun out to HPT shareholders a
subsidiary, TravelCenters of America LLC, which will lease this real estate
