Huntington Bancshares is a multi-state diversified
financial holding company involved in providing full-service commercial and
consumer banking services, mortgage banking services, equipment leasing,
automobile financing, investment management, trust services and
discount-brokerage services, in addition to reinsuring credit life and
disability insurance, and selling other insurance and financial products and
services. The Huntington National Bank is Huntington's only bank subsidiary. Huntington has three distinct
divisions of business: Regional Banking, Dealer Sales and the Private
Financial Group. In December 2004, Huntington Bancshares had 167 banking
offices in Ohio, 112 banking offices in Michigan, 27 banking offices in West
Virginia, 21 banking offices in Indiana, 12 in Kentucky, 3 private banking
offices in Florida, and one foreign office in each of the Cayman Islands and
Hong Kong.
