General Motors Corporation has two main businesses: Automotive and Other Operations, and Financing and Insurance Operations. GM's Auto and Other units consists of GM's four automotive regions: GM North America, GM Europe, GM Latin America/Africa/Mid-East, and GM Asia Pacific, which comprise GM Automotive, and Other, which primarily includes the design, manufacturing and marketing of locomotives. GM offers vehicles under the following nameplates: Chevrolet, Pontiac, GMC, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, Buick, Saturn, HUMMER, Vauxhall, Opel, Holden and Saab. GM’s FIO operating segment primarily relates to General Motors Acceptance Corporation. GMAC provides a scope of financial services, including consumer vehicle financing, automotive dealership and other commercial financing, residential and commercial mortgage services, automobile service contracts, personal automobile insurance coverage and selected commercial insurance.
