General Dynamics is engaged in mission-critical information systems and technologies; land and expeditionary combat vehicles, armaments and munitions; shipbuilding and marine systems, and business aviation. General Dynamics has four primary business units: Information Systems and Technology, Combat Systems, Marine Systems and Aerospace. GD also operates a small Resources group. During the year ended December 31, 2004, General Dynamics acquired Spectrum Astro, Inc. and TriPoint Global Communications Inc. In November 2004, General Dynamics acquired Engineering Technology Inc. In March 2005, the Company acquired the Propulsion Systems business unit of General Dynamics. In April 2005, the Company acquired MAYA Viz Ltd., a privately held company based in Pittsburgh, that provides enhanced visualization and collaboration technologies that support realtime, decision-making.
