FE FirstEnergy Corp. is a public utility holding company
that provides regulated energy services. FirstEnergy has eight principal
electric utility operating subsidiaries: Ohio Edison Company, The Cleveland
Electric Illuminating Company, Pennsylvania Power Company, The Toledo Edison
Company, American Transmission Systems, Inc., Jersey Central Power &
Light Company, Metropolitan Edison Company and Pennsylvania Electric Company.
The company’s other principal subsidiaries are FirstEnergy Solutions Corp.,
FirstEnergy Facilities Services Group, LLC, MYR Group, Inc. and First
Communications, LLC. In January 2004, FirstEnergy completed the sale of its
international operations with the sales of its remaining interest in Avon
Energy Partners Holdings on January 16, 2004, and its interest in
