Corporation FAF The First American Corporation, through its subsidiaries,
engages in the business of providing business information, and related
products and services. The company has five business units that fall within
two primary business groups, financial services and information technology.
The financial services group includes its title insurance and services
segment and its specialty insurance segment. The First American Corporation's
mortgage information, property information, and risk mitigation and business
solutions segments comprise its information technology group. During the year
ended December , 2006, First American completed 48 acquisitions. Of these
acquisitions, 34 have been in the company’s title insurance unit, one in its
mortgage information segment, two in the property information segment and 11
in the Company’s First Advantage segment. In February 2007, First American
merged its property data and related analytics businesses with CoreLogic
