Copart, Inc. is a provider of salvage vehicle sales services in
the United States.
Copart also provides vehicle suppliers, mainly insurance companies with a
variety of services to process and sell salvage vehicles over the Internet
through its virtual bidding second-generation Internet auction technology.
Copart sells salvage vehicles to vehicle dismantlers, repair licensees,
rebuilders, used vehicle dealers and exporters. During the fiscal year ending
July 2006, it acquired seven salvage vehicle storage facilities and opened
four new salvage vehicle storage facilities. Copart acquired storage sites
located in Greenwood, Nebraska;
Grand Island, Nebraska;
York Haven, Pennsylvania; Chambersburg,
Pennsylvania; Altoona,
Pennsylvania; Fruitland,
Maryland, and Billings, Montana.
