Energy, Inc.
CNP CenterPoint Energy is a public utility holding company, whose subsidiaries own and operate electric transmission and distribution facilities, gas distribution systems, natural gas pipelines and gas gathering systems. The company’s wholly owned subsidiaries include CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC, which provides electric transmission and distribution services in the Texas Gulf Coast area, and CenterPoint Energy Resources Corp., which owns gas distribution systems serving approximately 3 million customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Texas. CenterPoint has four business divisions: Electric Transmission and Distribution, Natural Gas Distribution, Pipelines and Gathering, and Other Operations. On December 14, 2004, Texas Genco Holdings, Inc. (Texas Genco), merged with a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.
