Inc. BRO Brown & Brown, Inc. is a diversified insurance agency,
brokerage and service organization. Brown & Brown markets and sells to
its customers insurance products and services, mainly in the property,
casualty and employee benefits areas. As of December, 2006, Brown &
Brown's activities were conducted in 179 locations in 35 states. Brown &
Brown's business is divided into four divisions: the retail division, which
provides a range of insurance products and services to commercial,
governmental, professional and individual customers; the national programs
division, comprises two groups: professional programs and special programs;
services division, which provides insurance-related services, and the
wholesale brokerage division, which markets and sells excess and surplus commercial
