Belo Corp. BLC Belo Corp. is a media company with a diversified group of
television broadcasting and newspaper publishing operations, including
interactive media and cable news operations. Belo Corp. operates in two
divisions: the Television Group and the Newspaper Group. As of December,
2006, the Television Group consists of the Company’s 19 television stations,
one station operated under an local marketing agreement, and three cable news
channels. The Newspaper Group consists of the Company’s four daily
newspapers, various niche publications in the same markets and Belo’s
commercial printing businesses. Belo Corp also operates more than 30
Websites, participates in several interactive alliances and offers a range of
Internet-based products. Effective January, 2007, the Company’s joint venture
with Cox Communications relating to NewsWatch on Channel 15 in Stock Quotes and Other InformationSearch
