AES Corporation
AES The AES Corporation is a holding company that, through its subsidiaries, builds, acquires, owns and operates power generation, and electricity distribution facilities all over the world. AES is organized along two principal lines of business: generation and utilities. The generation business comprises of AES's contract generation and competitive supply units. These units generate and sell electricity and related products to utilities or other wholesale or commercial buyers. The utilities business comprises its large utilities and growth distribution units. These units sell electricity to residential, business and municipal customers, typically through integrated transmission and distribution systems. AES's generating assets include interests in 120 facilities in 25 countries totaling approximately 44 gigawatts of capacity.
