marketing, and sale of stand-alone and client/server software products, data
interfaces, and related maintenance and services that automate, integrate,
and support the functions of investment management organizations. The
MicroEdge unit sells software and services for grant management, matching
gifts, and volunteer tracking for the grantmaking community. Advent Software
also provides professional services, such as consulting, project management,
implementation, integration, custom report writing, and training. In
addition, Advent Software provides independent research and brokerage
services to institutional investors and registered investment advisors.
Advent Software’s customers
include asset managers, investment advisors, prime brokers, fund
administrators, family offices, hedge funds, banks, and trusts. The company provides
its services to corporations, public funds, foundations, universities, and
nonprofit organizations that perform portfolio management functions as well.
