Archer Daniels
ADM Archer-Daniels-Midland is mainly engaged in procuring, transporting,
processing, storing and merchandising agricultural commodities and products.
ADM's operations are classified into three business units: Oilseeds
Processing, Corn Processing and Agricultural Services. A new line of
trans-free fats and oils is being marketed under the NovaLipid brand using
enzymatic interesterification technology. ADM has begun a new product for
latex paint manufacturers, Archer RC. The company entered into a joint
alliance with Metabolix to produce polyhydroxy alkanoate via fermentation
during the fiscal year ended June 30, 2005. Other new products include a wide
range of health and nutrition products known as nutraceuticals or functional
foods. ADM has also created a joint venture with Kao Corporation of Stock Quotes and Other InformationSearch
